Practice doing something each day
that I call "Symmetrical Posturing"
"Symmetrical Posturing" means trying to keep your body evened out or as symmetrical as possible each day.
This helps to prevent unnecessary pressure and stress on certain joints and muscles and nerves in your body each day.
The following are the most common errors people make each day with respect to their posture:
- Avoid CELL PHONE NECK. In other words, whenever you are talking on the phone, alternate ears from left to right or right to left OR get some hands-free set or headset.
- Avoid BUTT WALLET SYNDROME. In other words, DO NOT put your wallet or anything else in your REAR POCKET(S). Instead, place all things in your front pockets......NOT THE REAR POCKETS.
- Avoid CROOKED COMPUTER SYNDROME. In other words, DO NOT place your computer screen off to your right or left. Instead, place your computer screen directly in front of you at EYE LEVEL.
- Avoid BUTT TUCK SYNDROME. In other words, DO NOT SLOUCH all day long while you are sitting, standing, and squatting. Do this instead: Constantly focus on keeping a little arch in your lower back all the time.....while sitting, standing, squatting, etc.
- Avoid MOUSE DISEASE. In other words, DO NOT have your computer mouse placed high up where your right shoulder is higher than your left. Instead, place your mouse where you can keep both of your shoulders even and relaxed.
- Avoid SAME LEG CROSSING DISEASE. In other words, DO NOT consistently each day cross your left leg over your right leg or vice versa. Instead, make sure to alternate sides. Cross the left then the right...
- Avoid STOMACH SLEEPERS DISEASE. In other words, DO NOT sleep on your stomach. Do this instead: Sleep on your back or on your side. Please e-mail me if you want to know the best neck pillow on the market.
