My Epiphany

For my entire life, I have been surrounded by the great tasting (but hardly nutritious) Cajun diets of Southern Louisiana. So, since I have been in practice, I have been on an endless search for the best forms of vitamins and supplements for my patients. I have been quoted as saying, "Everyone knows that Cajun food is really great, but most great Cajun food recipes DO NOT include enough raw fruits or vegetables. Thus, Cajun food is not known for being very healthy or nutritious. As a result of this fact, many people in the Cajun Heartland do not consume enough fruits or vegetables on a daily basis."

When I was in chiropractic school, I received intense training in all laboratory-made vitamins and supplements. One of my nutrition teachers was a renowned and highly published doctor. I had a high level of respect for him, and I did my best to learn everything I could.

So, by the time I graduated from TCC, I felt like I knew the best forms of all the laboratory-made vitamins available and I also knew exactly what ratios of these laboratory-made vitamins were appropriate to take for many health conditions.

Pills

For my first few years of practice, I did exactly what I was taught in school and more. I tried everything possible to make laboratory-made vitamins work. I recommended hundreds of vitamins and supplements to help my patients. My family and I even took multivitamin tablets every day.

But over the 3-4 year course of recommending laboratory made vitamins and pills, I made the following observations:

  1. There were side effects from multivitamins, vitamins and supplements, like nausea and skin blushing/flushing, or DARK YELLOW COLORED URINE.
  2. There seemed to be few to minimal therapeutic benefits to my patients.
  3. I personally saw thousands of "undigested pills" on x-rays within the digestive tract.

The bottom line was that there seemed to be little health value in these products for my patients, and as a result, I came to what I call "My Epiphany."

I started to "flush" away all my previous understanding about laboratory-made vitamins and supplements. I returned to the old adage, "The Simplest Answer is Always the Best!"

Think about something for me right now.

Years ago, we decided to take the Vitamin C out of an orange, make it in a laboratory, and then give it to people in HIGH dosages. Now, millions of people take high DOSAGES of laboratory made Vitamin C every day. How is it that we suddenly came to believe that TAKING THIS LABORATORY MADE VITAMIN C is better than eating an ORANGE???

With all of our country's superior technology, did you know that our leading scientists still DO NOT know all of the ingredients and their average ratios in something as simple as an ORANGE or an APPLE or a PEAR?

The nutrients in WHOLE FOODS, like oranges, are PREASSEMBLED by NATURE in ratios that we simply are incapable of duplicating in a laboratory.

"My Epiphany" was that we need to get back to the basics. We need to use the best WHOLE FOODS on our planet to help give our body the highest level of nutrients, and in the proper proportions, each and every day.

So, after months of research, I came to understand the real reasons why Whole Foods are the best FUEL for our bodies:

  1. Whole Foods give our bodies nutrients that are already preassembled and prepackaged for us to properly digest and ultimately give our body immediate, ready-to-use, FUEL for all of our daily activities.
  2. Whole foods have hundreds, maybe thousands, of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, amino acids, enzymes, etc. These ingredients are preassembled in NATURE and not in a LABORATORY.
  3. Your higher power (whatever your religious belief is) made these whole foods in preassembled ratios of nutrients that are easy for our bodies to ingest and absorb.
  4. "Whole Foods" is the true meaning of ALL NATURAL which means, "derived directly from nature."

Next, in my extensive research process, I questioned if Whole Foods could be taken in capsules, pills, or powders ? I found a couple of companies with great all-whole food products. However, the problem with these was I didn't want to recommend that my patients buy 5 or 10 or 15 bottles of different whole foods like Aloe Vera capsules, Pau D'Arco capsules, Sea Vegetable capsules (7 different types), Açai Berry powder or capsules, and on and on and on.

It just wasn't practical or cost effective for my patients to buy all these whole food supplements.

The simple fact was that it was hard to get a patient to take just one supplement per day.

So, at this point, I began researching other forms of WHOLE FOODS. I started reading more and more information on WHOLE FOOD LIQUIDS, and I really liked what I was finding.

LIQUEFYING whole foods meant that the integrity of each whole food was maintained but reduced to tiny particles that were ready for immediate, 100% absorption in the small intestines of anyone…….5 year olds or 95 year olds…..it doesn't matter.

In the end, I realized that liquid whole foods are the absolute best form of nutrition that you can supplement your body with each day. This is when I started searching for liquid blends of the world's best whole foods. What I found…
